How it all started…
‘reinvenshen’ all started when we both needed a little guidance and inspiration in our lives. Although we are both very upbeat, positive people (some may say even a little too much), we came to the mutual realisation that our lives were not going in the direction we had envisioned. Determined to not be defeated, we decided to take action. We read inspirational books, we would go on long walks, sing, dance and watch motivational videos.
We found a common theme in the books and videos, such as finding your purpose, facing your fears and the power of positive visualisation. Vision boards were mentioned countless times. When people like Oprah Winfrey, Wayne Dyer and Steve Harvey are all saying to get yourself a vision board, you do just that. Afterall, their lives seem to be going pretty well!
Like any self respecting millennial we went online and to our disappointment found the selection and quality of vision boards left us wanting. This lack of choice launched us like fiery little bundles of creative will, down to the high street to prove the internet wrong! The results were even more disappointing and here in this moment, our inner children decided to have a go at making our own!
Bringing our vision to life
Armed with plain cork boards and oodles of creative energy, we quickly realised it wasn’t as easy as just pinning some pictures on. We put pictures of everything we hoped, wished and dreamed about onto the boards, but felt it wasn’t deep enough. After reflection, we realised we really needed to have some structure. The next step to think about was how we would obtain the items on our pictures. Our dreams looked so big and so distant that we needed to find ‘how’ we would get there one step at a time and more importantly our ‘why’.
We wrote down inspirational quotes and found that the positive affirmations made a real impact on our subconscious mind. After all, we are what we put into our minds! We then realised that writing down our purpose, goals and dreams, allowed us to set clear intentions.
Making these boards was cleansing, cathartic and deeply profound, which came from the process of truly looking at ourselves. Self therapy is definitely the word here! We didn’t realise it would have such a powerful effect on our lives. We put our boards by our beds, where we could see them first thing in the morning and last thing at night. This is when the magic began to happen. As soon as we made our boards, because we knew the ‘why’ in our lives and had constant reminders of what we were capable of achieving, things began to fall into place.
We thought if we could make such powerful and positive changes within our lives, then why wouldn’t we want to help other people achieve this too?
Everyone talks about manifesting but there are a lack of tools readily available to actually help you manifest. We listened to hundreds of videos and the cogs only started turning when we took action and created this little space that gave us our focus. With very little effort and just a hint of motivation and clarity, you give yourself an ability to reinvent your life. Why wouldn’t you want this?
We realised our true purpose in this life was to simply pay it forward, to share this gift of self discovery with others and inspire positive change in the world. It was truly a ‘Aha’ moment and this was the birthplace of how ‘reinvenshen’ came to be.
We’ve found that gentle reminders are key in helping to create lasting change. This is reflected in our evolving range of products and tools to inspire and motivate people daily. Every single thing we create and share with you now and in the future will always be with one purpose in mind – to empower people to create a positive change within themselves and those around them.
